Best Practices for LibGuides Accessibility

This guide includes instructions for updating individual LibGuides to be as accessible as possible.

Why should I add friendly URLs?

Friendly URLs are easily readable and provide context for what will be on the guide or page. They are a relatively quick way to make your guides more accessible. Remember to add friendly URLs at both the guide and page level.

What are friendly URLs?

Friendly URLs are web addresses that replace the default strings of numbers and letters with something easier to read. Here are examples from the Geography research guide:

After: https://libguides.slcc.edu/geography
