Instruction Librarians can work with your students in many ways, to help them successfully complete and understand projects requiring the use of information sources beyond course materials. Here are a few examples of how we can collaborate:
- "Ask a Librarian" type Discussion Boards in Canvas
- Embedded Librarians in Canvas so students can reach them via Canvas Inbox
- In person or online guest-lecture type instruction sessions (a librarian visits your class and helps students meet outcomes determined by the instructor and librarian)
- Recorded instruction sessions or tutorials based on course and assignment specifics
- Provide general tutorials through the SLCC Libraries Tutorials link below
- Brainstorm learning activities to help students critically engage with information
- Meet with students in small groups or individually to help with research projects
