Getting Started with the Library

Online

Use our website to find sources, ask questions, and get help with your research. To get to our main page:

In-Person

Use study spaces, white boards, computers, speak with librarians, or check out a book or other items. Libraries are at:

  • Taylorsville (Redwood) Campus  (46th S. / Redwood Rd.)
  • South City Campus  (1575 S. State St.)
  • Jordan Campus    (3500 W. Wights Fort Road / off 90th S., W. Jordan)
  • Miller Campus.    (9750 S. 300 W., Sandy)

SLCC Library Services will support you in a variety of ways throughout your time at the college or beyond in your academic journey.  Library Services can be divided into three categories:

Digital Resources:

  • Online Scholarly and popular journals or magazines on many topics
  • Online Newspaper articles, for current topics or opinions
  • E-Books, for lengthy and in-depth research
  • Online Videos of documentary and other films 
  • Statistical information, such as bar charts and detailed reports.

  • Study rooms or spaces
  • Print books, print magazines or journals, and DVDs
  • Many SLCC Textbooks on Reserve, to use for 24 hours at a time
  • Computers in the open labs with printers and copiers
  • Laptops and Wi-fi Hotspots to borrow 
  • Anatomy models

Research Tutoring:

  • Schedule an in-person or online meeting with an Instruction / Liaison Librarian
  • Get help in the Library at the Reference Desk
  • Use the online chat (Ask a Question) to get answers or be directed to other services
