Italian Introduction

Italian is spoken by about 66 million people, mostly in Italy and Switzerland, and is closely related to  Latin as are other Romance languages. There are many other speakers in the US, Argentina, etc.  It is the language of music and some beautiful operas.

Although SLCC’s databases offer few articles geared toward undergraduate students of Italian, they do provide information about topics relating to Italian culture, which is an important part of learning the language.
