How-to guides for embedding videos from AVON and Films on Demand into a Canvas site are included on this page. In short:
Important note: Canvas users attempting to view embedded videos may sometimes need to login with MySLCC in the video player.

Embed videos from AVON using the embed code from the database itself. Detailed steps below.
1. Locate desired film in AVON
2. Select "Embed" option to the right of the video in AVON (look near the "Transcript")
3. Copy the embed code
4. On a Canvas page, put the cursor where you want the video (you must be in Edit mode!)
5. Select the "Insert Media" option in the tool bar above the page you are editing
6. Select the "Embed" option in the pop up window
7. Paste the embed code and select "Ok"
8. Save the changes on your page!
The "Embed" option is in AVON (Academic Video Online) is near the "Transcript" to the right of the video.
Films on Demand contains academic, vocational, and life-skills content in a broad range of subject areas. It is called an "External tool" option in Canvas that allows you to search for and embed streaming videos directly to the course site.
