Education Databases

Research on education related topics can span several research areas.

Use the Education-focused databases to find targeted research journals. Use databases like Google Scholar, ProQuest Central, and One Search to get a very wide pool of research from multiple disciplines. Use a psychology database for psychology-related research, etc. Ask Jamie or another librarian for help if needed!

Education Database supports the study and application of education across all levels of education, including early childhood education, primary and secondary education, and higher education. The database supports global study and research, including thousands of full-text journals, dissertations and other relevant sources.

Wilson index which covers 400 periodicals, yearbooks, and monographs in numerous areas of education. Many peer reviewed articles.

(Educational Resource Information Center) Also in Google Scholar. Contains more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals. Some links to FULL-TEXT (available through eric.ed.gov ) and some peer reviewed resources.

Part of our EBSCO subscription. Some FULL-TEXT; contains more than 1.8 million citations and summaries from literature in psychology and related disciplines. Indexes material from more than 1,300 periodicals written in over 30 languages and dating back to the 1800's.

Social Science Database offers indexing and full text for hundreds of academic journals, providing extensive coverage across a wide range of social science disciplines including anthropology, communication, criminology, economics, education, political science, psychology, social work, and sociology.
