New Resource in 2021: ProQuest Ebook Central

                                                             Ebook Central logo

ProQuest E-book Central provides access to many e-books on a lot of topics from 750 + publishers. It is especially useful for the arts, business and economy, education, health sciences, languages, social sciences & physical science, but has other topics too.

Some features :

  • Logged in with SLCC credentials, your personal Bookshelf can hold chapters from titles that may be highlighted or annotated
  • Chapter or page downloads become PDFs that are printable and you can share the link with others, and also search within them.
  • Downloaded complete e-books, used on a device, will have a short expiration time.  You need additional software.  But downloaded individual chapters do not expire.
  • With the Bookshelf option, you or a teacher may create reading lists.  Most e-books are fairly current, but some are older.
  • Subject browse is used for viewing overall topic coverage within the E-book Central areas.

We hope you will find this new database useful in your studies !
