SLCC students, faculty, and staff can enjoy free access to the New York Times with academic digital passes! A digital pass includes access to:

  • NYTimes.com,
  • INYT.com (International New York Times), and
  • New York Times mobile apps.

How To Set Up An Account And Claim An Academic Pass

To set up a free NYTimes.com account, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the New York Times passes webpage
  2. Go to "Create Account"
  3. Enter your student or staff email
  4. Create a password
  5. Click on "Create Account" again
  6. Check your College email inbox for a confirmation message
  7. Click on the link in your message to validate your email address

Troubleshooting

If the confirmation email didn’t arrive, check your spam folder. If it isn’t there, send an email to edu@nytimes.com from your school email address to request confirmation.

Disclaimer

The digital academic pass does not include e-reader editions or Crosswords. Mobile apps are not supported on all devices. There may be limited access to archived articles between the dates of 1923-1980.
