LIBRARY CATALOG for finding shelved books: https://slccomm.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/default/
This is for printed books, Reserve items, or DVDs.
See the Catalog Record of a specific item to see its Subject Headings. Once you know the Subject Headings, use them for a better focus.
For example, use the subject heading: Indians of North America. This is what is used by most U.S. libraries (Library of Congress). Native Americans does not work well with books, but it does when using the OneSearch, etc..

If you need a print book that is not at our Library, try: INTERLIBRARY LOAN (ILL).
ILLIAD is the sign-up place for that. (Register if you don't have an account. See at the bottom left).
Also, as students or faculty of SLCC, we may use other academic libraries in Utah. Show your ID there, at the library, and you will be able to sign up to use it. (Does not apply to area Public Libraries, which require their own cards, which need a picture ID and residence proof.) Textbooks, if available for students, are usually kept on Reserve at a front desk of one of the SLCC Libraries.
Other material may be on E-Reserves (online). Requires an instructor-given password.
